Problems configuring Leave Request

Hi,

 

we are facing the problem that the leave type dropbox stays empty when we call the LV-App.

The field on the right for "Used" and "Available" shows the update animation but nothing happens.

I cannot find any error message (browser console, gw system or backend). What could be wrong with it? Any ideas where I could search?

Archived file attached to the emails getting corrupted after reaching outlook

Hello,

We have application where in we are sending approval email to the user for approval from workflow. The vendor invoices which are archived are attached to the emails. The attachments are in tiff format. But in some cases we found that when the user tries to open the attachment , he or she gets error message saying that error opening file. When I go to the archived server and retrieved the same file , I can open it.

Anybody has faced this kind of problem?

Dear Gurus,

 

we have an issue with our data extract for a certain ERP System (ID: AP2)

When trying to extract master data (DS: 0GL_ACCOUNT_ATTR) or transactional data (DS: 0SEM_BCS_10) we receive the error msg R3412 in our SAP BW (ID: KOP)

 

we get the following message:

 

No active transfer structure exists in source system KOPCLNT001 for DataSource 0SEM_BCS_10

 

The connection worked properly until last week and affects only the ERP System mentioned above. All other ERP-Connections work properly.

I ran the DataSource checker (RSA3) in the ERP System. No errors pop up.

 

the confusing thing is, that the error message references to our prod. BW (KOPCLNT001) as Source System. The same System where the error occours. whereas the corrupted DataSources are located under Source System AP2CLNT100.

 

i tried running the following Reports without success

 

1.Activate the source system again

2.Run the program RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL,enter required DS name

3.Run the program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL

 

Any advises how to resolve the issue?

I can't even tell if it is a BW or ERP problem, cause the message and affected DataSources differ.

Erro ao carregar arquivos de retorno (cobrança bancária)

Um dos usuários que fazem tratamento de arquivos de retorno de remessa de cobrança bancária está com o seguinte problema:

Ao acessar a janela "Abrir" para procurar/selecionar o arquivo de remessa para que o SAP faça as tratativas, o SAP não carrega o conteúdo da janela, apenas a janela em si, ou seja, a janela "Abrir" é aberta mas o usuário não consegue navegar nas pastas para selecionar o arquivo.

 

Inicialmente, após vários testes, tudo levava a crer que se tratava de perfil de usuário corrompido (a máquina pertence a um domínio), foi criado um novo usuário (cópia de outro usuário que estava funcionando corretamente) e com isso funcionou corretamente por cerca de 3 dias, porém a partir daí voltou a apresentar o erro.

Hoje o usuário percebeu que parando e restartando o addon Integração Bancária, a janela carrega corretamente, porém esse procedimento não é uma solução viável  para o problema, precisaríamos saber o que ocorre ao certo, se é uma falha do SAP ou do addon para corrigí-lo.

 

Alguém já se deparou com essa situação?

 

Alguma razão/solução conhecida para o problema?

Can Lumira connects to Sharepoint as a datasource ?

 

Our requirement is to create .lums on Excel files stored in Sharepoint .We've gone through thread Lumira connectivity to Sharepoint?

 

It says we can connect to Lists with Generic ODATA 2.0 driver ,which is out of box connectivity . I think Excel files also stores under Lists .

 

Did anybody worked on this ? How do we do this ?

 

all the features includes schedule and refresh works when published to BIP ?


Do we need any third party drivers to refresh them in BIP?

PI / HCI useOneAsMany mapping question

Hello everyone,

 

 

let's say we have following node structure :

 

 

/compoundemployee/person/employment_information -> 0:1 records

    custom_string1

    end_date

    start_date

    user_id

    ...

 

/compoundemployee/person/personal_information -> 0:n records

      end_date

      start_date

      ....

 

Question:

For selection of personal_information, personal_information/start_date needs to be >= employment_information/start_date <= personal_information/end_date.

 

I tried the mapping below, but for attached test data I get for person_id 2714 the personal_information from 2810. For 2810 I get the personal_information from 2830. There seems to be some context issue, but can't exactly point out why.

 

The personal_information/end_date value can be null, so I have added 'mapWithDefault'. To keep the queue consistent, I have added 'mapWithDefault' to personal_information in 'useOneAsMany', as i.e person_id 20 has no personal_information.

 

The context of employment_information/start_date below is changed to /person, this is a 0:1.

 

Test data attached :

  • the used xsd file
  • xml file with sample data
  • person_id's with no or multiple personal_information records are 20, 2090, 2112, 2173, 2490, 2510, 2671, 2714, 2791, 2810

MD04 Stock Day's Supply negativ

Hello,

 

in MD04 under "Stocks/coverage" is stock day's supply negativ (-5,0) although we have enough stock (In MMBE 344000 pieces).

 

But under "periods total" our stock day's supply is positiv.

 

Why we have  here two different stock day's supplies? (see attachement)

How to provide input validation using type and message manager

Hi All

I am trying to provide a input data validation using the data type and message manager

 

So in the xml view, the input field has a data type defined

<Input enabled="{localData>/fields/enabled}"  value="{ parts: [{path: 'localData>/fields/workCenter'}], type: 'sap.ui.model.type.String', constraints : { minLength: 1, maxLength: 4 } }"  width="50%"/>

So this should restrict the end user to enter more than 4 chars in the input. The value field is bound to local json model data

 

In the onInit method of the view controller, I have registered to the Message Manager using

onInit: function(){  sap.ui.getCore().getMessageManager().registerObject(this.getView(), true);  }

However, at runtime - when the user enters more than 4 chars and moves the focus to a different UI - the validation is not triggered.

 

Is there anything I am missing?

       In component.js normally we set the model by the below statement .

 

  this.setModel(oModel);

 

But if i want to set the model to the component  from any of the other controller ,how can i Do that ?

DGP - Downgrade Protection for CTS

The purpose of this document is to explain the concept of DGP for CTS and the various Clenaup / Update reports available.


The downgrade protection function tracks objects in transport requests, and reports conflicts in five scenarios when an object that is saved in two or more transport requests, is released, reassigned, or imported.

 

Downgrade protection is available only for ABAP systems. Downgrade protection can be used in Change Request Management and in Quality Gate Management. The function is identical, however, the user interfaces and the related terminology can be different.

 

In Change Request Management, the Downgrade Protection assignment block in the WebClient UI is available for project and maintenance cycles and for change documents. Whenever the system detects a conflict, it is displayed in the assignment block.

 

In Quality Gate Management, information related to downgrade protection is displayed on the Downgrade Protection Tab.

 

There are two ways to trigger downgrade checks:

 

Manually In Change Request Management, you can trigger downgrade checks from the Downgrade Protection assignment block. In Quality Gate Management, you can trigger the check from the Project Overview and the Changes tab. The system analyses potential release check conflicts for all open transport requests in the development system, and import check conflicts for all released transport requests in all systems into which they can be imported. This helps you to handle the conflicts before triggering the transport. The check is performed asynchronously. Refresh the assignment block or tab page to display up-to-date check results.

 

Automatically Downgrade checks are triggered automatically when releasing transport requests, importing, decoupling, assigning transport requests or when reassigning a change document. In case of a conflict, the operation (release or import) is cancelled, unless you have ignored the conflict. You can set the system to automatically ignore conflicts in specific project and/or in logical systems. To do so, refer to the downgrade protection Customizing for more information.

 

You can also trigger a downgrade check from a task list. In case of a conflict, the system displays a dialog box notifying the user about the conflict and the cancellation of the operation. A link to the change cycle document in the WebClient UI, where the conflicts can be checked and handled, is provided.

 

 

Downgrade Check Types :

 

The following downgrade checks can be performed by the system:


Cross-system object lock : The cross-system object lock (CSOL) ensures that when an object is changed in a managed system, it is locked in the central SAP Solution Manager system. Depending on the conflict scenario, this prevents changes being made to this object in any other transport request.

 

Release check : When you release a transport request, downgrade protection can detect conflicts for objects in transport requests. The conflicts are the same as those displayed by the cross-system object lock when saving the objects to the transport requests.

 

Reassign check : The system performs this check when you reassign a change document or assign or decouple transport requests in a change document.

Predecessor check : The system can detect conflicting predecessors, that is, preceding transport requests containing conflicts, at the time of importing transport requests or transports of copies to the production or quality assurance system.


Imminent check :
The system can detect impending (imminent) downgrade conflicts when transport requests are imported. This kind of conflict would become an actual downgrade if you ignore the conflict.

 

The following graphic shows the user and system activities during the downgrade protection process.

If DGP feature is switched on (you have configured downgrade protection and the cross-system object lock, in Customizing, under SAP > Solution Manager > Capabilities > Change Control Management > Cross-System Object Lock and Downgrade Protection) those tables will be filled constantly with new tracking information. In order to ensure those tables are not growing indefinitely, do not contain outdated or wrong information, and changes in the CTS landscape are handled correctly (eg removing or adding a system) housekeeper is required.

SAP recommends to use RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_CLEANING_0 in all cases, its a more efficient version of _2 and the core report.

 

Update reports :

 

RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_RUN_QUEUE
RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_RUN_QUEUE_ALT
RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_RUN_QUEUE_MAX

 

The update reports basically query for the import status of all requests (in the respective target systems), where the tracking framework did not yet receive a  final import status (e.g. because transport was not imported yet, or no update was done since import). Currently, DGP is based on a pull-mechanism - we don't get any notifications of an import. Hence, we query for that data. Each line in SCTS_TRACK_UPQUE represents one request in one logical system, where we don't have the 'final import' status persisted in the SolMan. If we retrieved this exact status, the line is deleted from SCTS_TRACK_UPQUE and the STATUS field in SCTS_TRACK_MAIN is adjusted. The different reports now leverage different query mechanisms - the best way is to ask tp in the target system. However, this is super slow (tp takes 500ms per request, plus remoting, plus persistence). For large SCTS_TRACK_UPQUE tables, this simply does not work. RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_RUN_QUEUE_ALT uses SolMan tracking tables instead - so no tp, no remoting and optimal queries, its not as 100% as the tp version, but gets the job done much faster.

 

 

If the downgrade protection feature is switched on in SAP Change Request Management or SAP Quality Gate Management, the following reports should be executed on a regular basis in your SAP Solution Manager system:

 

1. Report RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_CLEANING and
2. Report RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_CLEANING_2 and
3. Report RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_RUN_QUEUE



All three reports can be triggered manually (e.g. using transaction SE38) or can be scheduled as batch jobs (using transaction SM36). Depending on the average transport volume, we recommend to execute the reports at least weekly. In very agile environments, with several hundred requests a day, a daily execution is recommended.


This is how SAP recommends the reports be utilised and in this order :

 

 

1. RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_RUN_QUEUE_MAX

2. RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_CLEANING_0

3. RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_CLEANING

4. RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_CLEANING_2

 

 

The queue-reports basically update information which is needed for the clean-ups. However, if those reports are scheduled daily, the core sequence is not that relevant, as the clean-ups on the next day will leverage the information retrieved before. But as a simple rule of thumb, running the queue-related reports before the clean-up ones is recommended.

 

 

SCTS_TRACK_UPQUE contains all transport request/system combinations, where SCTS_TRACK_MAIN still has STATUS = WAITING | REWAITING. Since we don’t get synchronous updates, when a transport request was imported, we have to query for it. The basis for those queries is the information in SCTS_TRACK_UPQUE.  Once we detect a transport being successfully imported in a given system, we remove the corresponding entry in SCTS_TRACK_UPQUE.

 

 

Report RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_REMOVE_SYSTEM can be used to remove obsolete / decommissioned SAP systems as DGP clean-up reports RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_CLEANING and RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_CLEANING_2 will not removed these (per standard) from SCTS_TRACK_MAIN.

Report RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_REMOVE_SYSTEM can be used as per Step 2 of SAP Note  # 2077091.


Report RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_REMOVE can be used to remove obsolete requests. Simply execute the report in the SAP Solution Manager system and supply the requests in question and execute it. You can find more information in SAP note # 2108353.

Report RSCTS_OBJ_TRACK_ADD can be used to add transport requests that were created before SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Support Package 05.

Forbidden error while saving a WebI report

Hi,

 

I am getting a peculiar error while saving a few BO reports. The error message is as :

 

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /BOE/portal/1503021401/AnalyticalReporting/webiDHTML/viewer/getSaveAsPanelExplorer.faces on this server

 

This is popping up whenever I choose the 'Save As' option, whereas when I choose the 'Save', the entire environment is getting frozen.

Can any one of you help me out with this ? Thanks in advance !

Changes in Data cache recommendation

Dear All,

 

We have got recommendation to change parameters default data cache, default data cache (16K), wash area (16K), default data cache (128K), wash area (128K) to a default  value and we are new to sybase database

 

By using parameter sp_cacheconfig "default data cache", "____" we can change value but will this change for 16K and 128K or we need to change by separate commands. Kindly advice

BR*Tools 7.40 Error with ora

Hi All,

 

As part of the upgrade to 12c I have installed BR*Tools 7.40 patch 21, created the necessary /oracle/<DBSID>/sapprof directory and copied the profiles into it.

 

I can run brtools with <sid>adm and check the instance status using brspace -p init<DBSID>.sap -s 20 -l E -u / -f dbshow -c dbstate

But when I run this with ora<DBSID> I get the following errors :-

At first I thought the 11g instant client reference was the cause as it was missing in the $LIBPATH environment variable but correcting that hasn't fixed the problem.

Unable to create Thing Based Navigation Screens

Hi All,

 

My scenario is to create thing based navigation screen from my custom BO. Below is the link which I used as a  reference to create Thing Based UI screens.

But on clicking the New button I am not able to navigate to the QC screen. I have followed the steps as in the video. Any suggestions as to where I could have gone wrong ?

DBSQL_DUPLICATE_KEY_ERROR

The user is getting a DUMP when trying to print delivery document directly using the print ICON. The same will not throw any dump if he/she clicks on print preview option. if print preview option is used then user is able to see the PDF document and then he can print it from there. Details of the issue. What happened?     Error in the ABAP Application Program     The current ABAP program "SAPLV45V" had to be terminated because it has     come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed. Information on where terminated     The termination occurred in ABAP program "SAPLV45V", in "VBUK_BEARBEITEN". The     main program     was "RSM13000".     In the source code, the termination point is in line 1660 of (Include)     program "LV45VF0V".     The program "SAPLV45V" was started in the update system.     The termination is due to exception "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB" occurring in procedure     "VBUK_BEARBEITEN" "(FORM)".     This exception was not handled locally or declared in the RAISING     clause in the procedure's signature however.     The procedure is in program "SAPLV45V                                ". The     source code begins in line 1608 of     (include) program "LV45VF0V                                ".

SAP Pi/Po SOAP Axis Rest call

All.

 

We are facing an issue using the SAP Po 7.4 SP 7 making use of SOAP/REST receiver adapter settings

 

We are working on a scenario which sends data from BPM towards an external party. Due to not been upgraded to the latest service pack we wanted to use the SOAP/Axis Restlike service as described in the blog below.

 

Consuming Synchronous RESTful Web Service with PI - I

 

Scenario is Netweaver BPM -> XML -> SOAP/REST POST --> Response message is plain JSON

The Request seem to work, and the 3rd party also sends a reponse as the image above describes. But unfortunately we receive an error as displayed.

Time out when connecting SAP BW to SQL DB

Hi experts,

Please advise. The SQL DB is upgraded and after the upgrade our SAP BW datasources do not collect any data from the SQL DB. This is the scenario:

 

When checking the DB Connect connection to SQL, it is ok and I can even see table data when doing a test in DB Connect (view tabledata). When running an infopackage manually or in a process chain nothing happens ("No errors could be found. The current process has probably not finished yet... Current status: No IDocs arrived from source system") and it remains yellow. After 7 hours I get a time out and a dump in ST22 (that doesn’t say
anything of use).

 

I have tried this:

  • Deleted all red requests in PSA and DSO
  • Checked for red/yellow requests in table RSSDLINIT - none
  • Replicated all datasource tables and checked them again – says
    ok, but same issue
  • Created a new infopackage – still same issue
  • Running PC with a new user with SAP_ALL and the same name as the DB-user in DB Connect) – still nothing,
    and times out after 7hours…

I am blank. What else?

 

The frustrating thing is that it is possible to view table data from DB Connect when checking the connection, but using the info package to retreive data, no matter what user is running the info package, results in nothing... It is probably some kind of authorization issue, but I do not know how to proceed...
