Damage & Cause For Individual Equipment

Dear SAP Folks,

Can we manage the damage and cause list according the individual equipment.I want that as a user enter the damage and causes in notification the system will show the damage and cause list which is related only that particular equipment.So what will be best practice for this or how I can configure this.

Please share your valuable experience.
