I have one problem while developing some report and would like to check with all you the feasibility on doing what I try to do.
I am using CrystalReports2008 and the main problem is related to detail sections and the "Format with multiple columns" attribute.
My idea is to be able to have different detail sections all of them with this attribute "ON" but with different values on the "layout" tab.
In the below section we can see how I have one DETAIL SECTION with two SUBDETAILS (a & b). The detail section is formatted with multiple columns and the width of it is set to 2inches. This means that the detail will be formatted in multiple "2-inch" columns since filling the page width.
The problem I face here is that I would like to have different detail widths so for the first subdetail I can set a width of 2 and for the second I can set a width of 1 (for example). With this approach I can have a max of 5 repetitions for detailA and a max of 7 repetitions for detailB

So as said before I tried to do it by setting different width values to both subdetails but it only allows to set it on "Master" detail level...
can someone guide me on which is the best approach to achieve this behavior?
